1.5 How to Connect Water Supply :

  1. Tighten the nuts of the hose by hand without the use of tool for tightening.
  2. When hose connection is complete, open the taps fully and check for leakage.
  3. If any leaks occur, turn off the tap and remove the nut. Check the seal and then tight the nut carefully
  4. In order to prevent the water leaks and resultant damages, close the taps when beko washing machine is not in use.

Your drain house will be flooded if the hose will come out of its housing during water discharge. Furthermore, there is a risk of scalding due to high washing temperatures.

2.1 Sort the laundry :

When you are about to use beko washing machine, the first step would be to sort and classify the laundry as per the type of fabric, color, and the degree of soiling and allowable washing temperature.  Always follow the instructions given on the garments tag.

Note : The loading door is locked when the programme is running and it can be opened only when the programme comes to an end.

Important :

The maximum load capacity depends on the type of laundry, degree of soiling, and washing programme in use. So, the machine automatically adjusts the amount of water as per the loaded weight of the laundry.

Follow the programme and consumption table for the correct load capacity, as the machine performance will drop and there will be noise when the machine is overloaded.

 

2.4 Using Detergent & Softener :

2.5 Prepare the machine :

2.7 Select the beko washing machine programme settings :

Select the washing programme with the programme selection knob that is suitable for the type,  quantity and soiling degree of the laundry in accordance with the programme and consumption table.

Main programmes :

Depending on the type of fabric, you can use one of these 3 main programmes for washing

Cottons

Use Cottons programme for the cotton laundry which includes sheets, bedlinen, towels, bathrobes, underwear etc made of cotton. In this programme, your laundry will wash with vigorous washing action for a longer washing cycle.

Synthetics

Use Synthetics programme for washing synthetic clothes which can be shirts, blouses, synthetic/cotton blends etc. In this washing programme, the laundry will wash gently with a shorter washing cycle. For curtains and tulle, it is recommended to use 20°C or 40°C programme.

Woolens / Handwash

Use this programme to wash delicate laundry. In this washing programme the laundry will be washed very gently to prevent the damage to the clothes.

There are many model specific additional programmes are available in the beko washing machines. These programmes vary from model to model

Cotton Eco

To save energy while washing cotton laundry, use Cotton Eco programme. This programme will wash your laundry for longer while still giving performance and saving energy.

Prewash Cotton 

To wash heavily soiled cotton laundry, use prewash Cotton programme and add detergent into the prewash compartment.

Mini 30°

To wash lightly soiled cotton clothes in a short time use this programme

Shirts

This programme is suitable to wash shirts made from cotton, synthetic or cotton/synthetic altogether.

Down Wear

Drum Cleaning 

Use this programme regularly once in every 1-2 months to clean the drum and provide the required hygiene.

2.8 Select Spin Speed :

Whenever a new programme is selected, the recommended spin speed of the selected programme is displayed on the spin speed indicator.

Rinse Hold

If you are not going to unload your clothes immediately after the programme completes, you can use rinse hold function to keep your laundry in the final rinsing water in order to prevent them from getting wrinkled when there is no water in the machine.

 

2.9 Delayed Start Function :

With Delayed Start function you can delay the startup of the programme up to 3, 6 or 9 hours. Here is how to use delayed start function in beko washing machine.

  1. Add laundry and detergent
  2. Select washing programme and spin speed
  3. Press delayed start button and set the desired time
  4. Press the button once for 3 hours delay, press twice for 6 hours, press for the third time for 9 hours delay, and press for the 4th time to cancel the delayed start function.
  5. Press Start / Pause button. Previous delayed start time light turns off and next delayed start light turns on after every 3 hours.
  6. At the end of the count down, all delayed start lights will turn off and the selected programme will start.

Changing the delayed start period :

If you want to change the delayed start function count down time, then you need to cancel the programme and set the delay again.

If you want to cancel delayed start function and start the programme immediately

  1. Turn the programme selection knob to any programme which will cancel the delayed start function. The End/Cancel light will flash continuosly.
  2. Select the programme again
  3. Press Start / Pause button to start washing.

2.10 Start Washing :

  1. Press Start/Pause button to start or pause the programme

2.11 programme Progress :

Progress of a currently running programme can be monitored through the programme follow up indicator. At the beginning of every programme step, the relevant LED light will turn ON and the light of the completed step will turn OFF.

You can change the speed settings without stopping the programme flow while the programme is running. To do this, the change you are going to make must be in a step after the running programme step. If the change is not compatible, relevant lights will flash for 3 times.

Note :

If the machine does not proceed to the spinning step, the rinse hold function might be active or the automatic unbalanced load detection system might be activated due to unbalanced distribution of the laundry in the beko washing machine.

2.12 Loading Door Lock :

The beko washing machine loading door will lock when water level is unsuitable and prevent opening of the loading door.

2.13 Change of Settings / Laundry  :

If you want to change the settings or add more laundry after starting the washing programme, here is what you can do

Switch to Pause mode :

Change the Speed :

After enabling pause mode, you can change speed settings and if no change is allowed then relevant light will flash for 3 times.

Add or take out laundry :

To add or remove laundry after the washing programme has started, you can Pause the machine and add or remove the laundry. To resume washing, press the Start / Pause button again.  Here is a step by step procedure

  1. Press Start / Pause button to activate Pause mode. The programme follow up light of the relevant step will flash.
  2. Wait until the loading door can be opened
  3. Open the loading door and add or take out the laundry
  4. Close the loading door
  5. Change speed settings if necessary
  6. Press start / pause button to start the machine

2.14 Cancelling the programme :

To cancel the currently running programme, turn the programme selection knob to select another programme and the End / Cancel light will flash.  The previous programme will end but the machine will not drain the water and the newly selected programme will start using the current status of the machine ( drain water, add water, rinse etc ).

2.15 End of programme :

When the programme ends, the “End” LED will turn ON.

When you switch ON your beko washing machine with the programme selection button ( by switching the button to a different position than ON/OFF position ), if no programme is started or no other procedure is performed in the selection step or no action is taken within approx. 2 minutes after the selected programme ends, your machine will switch to energy saving mode automatically.

 

4.0 Tips for efficient washing :

Here are some tips for efficient washing which are divided for 3 types of stains ( heavily soiled, normally soiled, lightly soiled ) and 4 types of clothes :

Light Colors and White Clothes :

These are tips for light color and white clothes. The recommended temperature range is 40° to 90°C depending on the soiling level.

Heavily Soiled ( difficult stains such as grass, coffee, fruits and blood )

Normally Soiled ( ex. stains caused by body on collars and cuffs )

Powder and liquid detergents recommended for whites can be used at dosages recommended for normally soiled clothes

Lightly Soiled ( no visible stains )

Powder and liquid detergents recommended for whites can be used at dosages recommended for lightly soiled clothes

Colored Clothes :

These are tips for colored clothes. The recommended temperature range is cold to 40°C depending on the soiling level.

Heavily Soiled ( difficult stains such as grass, coffee, fruits and blood )

Normally Soiled ( ex. stains caused by body on collars and cuffs )

Lightly Soiled ( no visible stains )

Black / Dark Color Clothes :

These are tips for black or dark color clothes. The recommended temperature range is cold to 40°C depending on the soiling level.

Heavily Soiled ( difficult stains such as grass, coffee, fruits and blood )

Liquid detergents that are suitable for colored and dark clothes can be used at dosages recommended for heavily soiled clothes.

Normally Soiled ( ex. stains caused by body on collars and cuffs )

Liquid detergents that are suitable for colored and dark clothes can be used at dosages recommended for normally soiled clothes.

Lightly Soiled ( no visible stains )

Liquid detergents that are suitable for colored and dark clothes can be used at dosages recommended for lightly soiled clothes.

Delicate, Woolen or Silk Clothes :

These are tips for black or dark color clothes. The recommended temperature range is cold to 30°C depending on the soiling level.

5.0  beko washing machine Child Lock :

beko washing machine has a child lock function to prevent the children from tampering with the machine and to avoid changes in a running programme.

How to Activate Child Lock in beko washing machine :

To Activate Child lock in beko washing machine, press and hold Speed and Delayed Start buttons together for 3 seconds. Child Lock Enabled LED will flash. Once the lock is enabled, LED will stop flashing and turns ON.

How to disable Child Lock in beko washing machine :

To deactvate Child lock in beko washing machine, press and hold Speed and Delayed Start buttons together for 3 seconds. Child Lock Enabled LED will flash. Once the lock is disabled, LED will stop flashing and turns OFF.

Important Note :

When Child Lock is active and machine is running, you can switch the machine to pause mode without deactivating the child lock by turning the programme selection kbob to ON / OFF position. Now you can also select another programme and when you turn the programme selection knob afterwards, the programme will resume.

There is a filter at the end of each water intake valve which is found at the back of the machine. The end of each water intake hose also contains a filter where they are connected to the tap. These filters prevent foreign substances and dirt in the water to enter the washing machine. Filters needs cleaning as they get dirty, here is how to clean them :

  1. Close the water taps
  2. Remove the nuts of the water intake hoses to access the filters on the water intake valves
  3. Clean them with an appropriate brush. If they are too dirty, remove them from their places with pliers and clean.
  4. Take out the filters at the flat end of the water intake hoses together with the gaskets and clean thoroughly under running water
  5. Replace the seals and filters carefully and tighten their nuts by hand

6.5  Draining water & Cleaning the pump filter :

The filter system in beko washing machine prevents solid items such as buttons, coins and fabric fibers to clog the pump impeller during discharge of washing water. Doing so will prevent any problems and extends the service life of pump.

If the machine fails to drain water, that means the pump filter is clogged. Filter must be cleaned when it is clogged or in every 3 months. Water must be drained off first to clean the pump filter. In addition, before moving the machine to another place or house, water may have to be drained completely.

Here is how to Clean the dirty filter and discharge the water :

  1. Unplug the machine to cut off the power supply
  2. Open the filter cover
  3. To drain water, place a large vessel in front of the filter to collect drain water, turn and loose the filter until water starts to flow (counter clockwise) , Fill the water inside the vessel and keep a piece of cloth handy to absorb any spilled water.
  4. When water drains completely, take out the filter by turning it.
  5. Clean any residue inside the filter as well as any fibers around the pump impeller
  6. Replace the filter
  7. If the filter cap is composed of two pieces, close the filter cap by pressing on the tab.
  8. If the filter cap is composed of one piece, seat the tabs in the lower part into their places first and then press the upper part to close.

How To Reset beko Washing Machine :
